How we create our guides
Our guides exist to help GTA homeowners and businesses make good decisions about their windows — including when a product isn’t the right fit.
Who creates our content
Our guides and service pages are produced for Prime Window Coverings and reviewed by our team — the people who measure, supply and install window film, zebra blinds and roller shades for homes and businesses across the Greater Toronto Area. That practical, on-the-job experience shapes what we write about and how we explain it.
How we check facts
- Product claims are based on manufacturers’ technical data sheets and application guidelines.
- Regulations are cited from official government sources, such as Canada’s Corded Window Coverings Regulations.
- We avoid exaggerated claims. Security film delays forced entry — it doesn’t make glass unbreakable — and energy savings depend on your building, so we don’t promise specific savings.
- Where a different product would serve you better, we say so.
How we present pricing
Where our guides mention prices, they are general market ranges for the GTA to help you budget. They are not quotes or a price list. Your price depends on your glass, the product chosen and the scope of work, and is confirmed in a written quotation after we review your measurements.
Keeping content up to date
Every page on this site shows the date it was last updated. We review our guides at least once a year, and sooner when products, prices or regulations change.
Independence
We don’t accept payment to mention or recommend products. We write about the products and services we install, and we don’t publish content about other companies.
Corrections
If you spot something that’s inaccurate or out of date, please email info@primewindowcoverings.ca with the page address. We review every report and correct errors promptly.
